SOURCE’s creators are directly inspired by their experience of Burning Man, and their participation in the culture that has emerged from this unique contemporary festival. Source is like Burning Man in that it has a gift economy, encourages radical self-expression, radical self-reliance, and transformative, decommodified experiences through communion with nature and other human beings.
SOURCE is a Leave No Trace Event. It is of the utmost importance that our environmental footprint is small and that Keanae, the home site for Source, is left better than we found it.
The theme for SOURCE 2009 is The Great Expression. We have the potential, as conscious humans, to create a positive pendulum swing away from the emotional and economic bankruptcy of another Great Depression. The Great Expression at Source is an affirmation that we can sculpt our own reality and face our modern day challenges with hope and wisdom instead of fear.
SOURCE will host a wide variety of music, art, and theatrical performances as well as health and educational workshops, classes and amazing food. Lodging is available on site in either bunkhouses or tent camping. Tickets are available right now! Check our ticket page and specialized links to view events and entertainment happening before and during the Source Festival. Be a participant and your own Great Expression!

You don’t need to be approved to play music at source, but if you want to be on a stage you need to get in communication with us.
By 2012 the festival will be entirely fed by local gardens.

Hello Ben & all others,
Am on my way around the world from London and have just landed in Maui. Have been going to BM for years and would love to join you guys this weekend. However: I have just given away my silly sunglasses collection to my host in Sydney so have absolutely no costumes, glow stuff, camping stuff, etc etc etc. Any bright ideas as to where to stock up? Or can I help set up in return for some? Also would be great if I can get a bunk if there are any left – are there? will by my ticket asap depending on that I guess.
